Story Consultation
Are you an artist looking to develop a story idea for a graphic novel? Perhaps an animator needing help with a script? Or maybe even a fellow writer in need of a supportive yet critical external opinion? Then please allow me to act as your story consultation guide!
Hello, my name is Wynn, and among many things I am a writer and most friendly feedback provider, now looking to broaden the scope of my story consultation services. Now, if you need a little more convincing, I have an Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting from the Royal Institute of Technology (RMIT), for which I received the Film Victoria Award for Most Accomplished Graduating Student in 2020. During my course I engaged in a number of classes to strengthen my writing and editing abilities around storytelling, and following graduation have not only expanded my personal portfolio of written projects but have worked as a script assessor and highly competent collaborator with fellow writers and artists. SO HOW DOES THIS WHOLE THING WORK?
Below, you can find a simplified example of the process I follow when engaging in an editorial collaboration with another, starting with the initial assessment which can be followed by the optional further discussion. Any additional services required will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Intial Assessment
The initial assessment is completely free, as this is our first meeting and the chance to see if we get along and work well together, all those fun important things needed for strong creative partnerships!
Depending on the format of the story, or what stage of development it is sitting at, this will include a full assessment/read through with overarching notes around pacing and plot. This can also act as more of a brainstorming session for those not yet at the writing stage.
Further Discussion
After the initial assessment, if you are happy with my work we can engage in further discussion and decide what level of involvement you are wanting from me moving forward, whether that's more second pair of eyes vs full editor mode.
Also at this stage, dependent on the level of involvement desired, credit, payment or a mutual exchange of services will be discussed. Do not stress, this will be a give what you can type of payment, so whatever is easiest and most affordable for you.

Now, if you feel what is mentioned here doesn't cover what you're looking for, still feel free to reach out and we can discuss what you're looking for or needing help with. I am open to tailoring my services to the individual and the project.
Please note, my consultation services are currently offered to individuals (artists, writers, etc.) for personal projects as opposed to full-team projects or companies, given the lack of outright payment or credit requested. However, if you would like to hire me as a script editor or writer, please feel free to get in touch via email.
